Academic Programs

It’s easy to bombard people with information. But communicating the right message to the right people, or organizing information in a way that makes it easy for people to find and use — that’s the hard part! Whether you do that with words or images, in print or on the local news, our programs prepare you to excel in an ever–changing world of communications and information.

Bachelor's Programs

Undergraduate students can study advertising, broadcast journalism, information science, journalism, mass communication, public relations, or visual communications.

Master's Programs

Interested in a graduate degree? We offer master's degrees in journalism, journalism and mass communication, and library and information science. We also have a joint degree in mass communication and law.

Minors and Concentrations

The College of Information and Communications offers three minors and a concentration to enhance your undergraduate resumé, supplement almost any career path and prepare you for graduate programs with practical and theoretical knowledge. 

Advanced Graduate Programs

We offer certificates for advanced study for graduate students interested in health communication and library and information science. We also have a post-master's specialist program in library and information science. 

Ph.D. Programs

We have two doctoral programs: library and information science and mass communication.
