Giving

Why give?

From the students who wouldn't be able to attend without a scholarship to the variety of programs benefitting students, your gift creates a better student experience. Alumni support enables the School of Law to provide resources not covered by tuition or state funding. No student at South Carolina Law graduates without having been touched in some way by gifts from alumni and friends.

Where to Give

If you don't have a specific goal in mind, we ask that you donate to the Law Carolina Fund. This fund provides scholarship support and offsets costs for students so their experience is enriched by your gifts.

Planned Giving

The School of Law works with the University Office of Planned Giving to assist law alumni with their estate plans.

If you have questions regarding a planned gift, please contact Sarah Hughes at snhughes@law.sc.edu or 803-777-3047.

Volunteering

Not all gifts can be measured in dollars. Get involved in the University of South Carolina School of Law family. There are many opportunities for involvement:

  • serving as a Reunion Weekend volunteer
  • serving as a contact with foundations and corporations
  • hosting an alumni event or interviewing our students for positions with your firm

For more information on these and other volunteer opportunities, contact Carol Mitchell at mitcheca@law.sc.edu or 803-777-3408.
