Reenea Harrison is Director of Academic Planning / Academic Advisor in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina. Prior to her current position, Dr. Harrison was the Director of Guidance at Cardinal Newman School in Columbia, for 5 years, Director of Academic Affairs for South Carolina Honors College for 10 years, and an adjunct instructor for Midlands Technical College in Columbia, as well as for Central Carolina Technical College (formerly Sumter Area Technical College) in Sumter, for 2 years. In addition, she has held various positions in career counseling for 18 years, in radio broadcasting for 6 years, as a teacher for learning disabled children and as a caseworker for 2 years. For many years, she has also served as an event planner, a private career / educational consultant and has led many workshops and presentations on career development and educational topics, gender issues and diversity / multiculturalism.
