Prepare for Professions

For students who want to prepare for graduate studies and a professional career after graduating from the Honors College, we have partnered with the Office of Pre-Professional Advising to allow you to explore academic tracks in pre-law, pre-health and other professions.

Your Major

There is no required list of majors for students who choose to identify as pre-professional students. The Office of Pre-Professional Advising (OPPA) will make recommendations based on your chosen path and will make sure you have the support and knowledge you need to apply to competitive professional schools.

Your Advantage

If you already know what you want to do after graduating from the Honors College, identifying yourself as a pre-professional student can help get you on your chosen career path sooner, and with relative ease.

In some cases, like with our 3+3 Bachelor's/JD degree program, you can save time and money by reducing the total amount of time you have to spend in school. The advisors at the Office of Pre-Professional Advising can also help you navigate the application process when it's time to take the next step and apply to a graduate program.

Your Future

Students in pre-professional programs hope to attend law school or medical, dental, veterinary or other health professional schools, and we're here to support those goals. We have an excellent track record of preparing students for post-graduate professional studies.
