B.S. Chemistry*

Our B.S. Chemistry degree fulfills all of the requirements for a degree certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS), one of the largest and most respected professional scientific organizations in the world.  With this degree, you take specific academic research courses, and earn an ACS certification [pdf]  with your degree.

The B.S. Chemistry checklist [pdf] shows all the program requirements.  This is a typical program of study and may differ from the actual program a student follows

 

Freshman

It is very important to take the pre-requisite courses like math and general chemistry starting in the first semester of the freshman year in order to prepare for upper level courses in the major.

In the second year students move forward in the chemistry curriculum with upper level courses and complete the math and physics prerequisites.
