Allison Sweeney is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Wilson’s Obesity Research Group. Dr. Sweeney’s research focuses on understanding the social, cognitive, and motivational processes that give rise to changes in health-related behaviors, including diet and physical activity. In 2016, Dr. Sweeney received her PhD in Social and Health Psychology from Stony Brook University where she studied how social-cognitive factors, such as mental construal, self-affirmation, automaticity, and temporal orientation, impact health-related decision-making.
