Dexin Shi received his Ph.D. in quantitative psychology from the University of Oklahoma. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Dr. Alberto Maydeu-Olivares at the University of South Carolina.
His research interests mainly reside in methodology of latent variable models. The specific topics he studies include 1) measurement invariance; 2) uncertainties in parameter estimates and evaluation of model fit; and 3) statistical techniques for analyzing complex datasets/scenarios, including mixture modeling and missing data analysis. He is also interested in application of quantitative methods in business, human development, and health-related studies.
