Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of applied and computational mathematics, associated with the SmartState Chair in Data Analysis, Simulation, Imaging, and Visualization (DASIV). Areas of particular interest include data assimilation and parameter estimation, reduced order modeling and related stable variational formulations of underlying PDE models, or machine learning in structural imaging. An overarching theme for the research conducted in the DASIV center is the development of new syntheses of data-driven and model based methodologies.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, an outstanding research program, a commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a demonstrated potential for excellence in both research and teaching.
