  1. Dr. Lee Walker appointed as Faculty Principal of Carolina International House
    Dr. Lee Walker has been named the faculty principal for the new Carolina International House, a living-learning community that will start this fall in the University of South Carolina’s Maxcy College residence hall.
  2. Carolina Core Course Designation Forms and 5/21 Training Session
    The electronic approval and review process for Carolina Core Course Designation is now live! The last training session this semester will be held on May 21.
  3. 3/29 Forum on Graduation Planning Services & DegreeWorks
    The Office of the Provost and the Office of the University Registrar are sponsoring a discussion of the University’s forthcoming degree audit and educational planning tool, DegreeWorks, on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the Russell House Theater from 11:30am to 1:00pm.
  4. Internal Grants Awardees Announced
    The 2012 awardees for the Humanities, Clinical Incentive, Creative and Performing Arts, and Social Sciences Internal Grant programs have been announced.
  5. Spring Internal Grant Workshops Announced
    The Office of the Provost will be offering a series of four seminars featuring committee members from the Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Creative & Performing Arts Internal Grant Programs. The committee members will provide tips for improving proposal writing and submission to the internal grant program.

  • Academic Program Development
    Information about creating or changing programs and courses including all related forms.
  • Carolina Leadership Initiative
    Promotes a vision for leadership development on the USC campus.
  • Classroom Enhancement and Scheduling Committee
    Monitors, reviews, and guides decision-making with respect to classrooms (enhancements, maintenance, safety, security, capacity) and any implemented class schedule changes (class times, passing times).
  • Committees (Faculty and Special Advisory)
    Descriptions of all Faculty Committees and all Special Advisory Committees plus Current and Past Membership Lists.
  • Coordinating Office for Community Engagement and Services
    The USC Coordinating Office for Community Engagement and Service (COCES) is a central coordinating portal through which faculty, staff, students, and those external to the campus can enhance their current community engagement and service activities.

  • Faculty Replenishment Hiring Initiative
    The Faculty Replenishment Hiring Initiative, sponsored by the Office of the Provost, will provide funding to hire senior faculty members and interdisciplinary clusters of faculty on the USC Columbia campus.
