She explained that the online form is new and she even gave me some advice on how we can propose a pilot study in two parts that will allow us to answer initial questions with limited resources. That was great!
I had recently written Melissa Mattison and she informed me that there were no internal funding opportunities the fall. [At research day I learned] there may be an internal grant funding opportunity available in the spring. That would be wonderful!
Organization Perspectives
Faculty should consider integrating undergraduate scholarship with teaching by developing special topics Honors courses in their area of scholarship. The South Carolina Honors College is delighted to support undergraduate research in ALL disciplines. If you are a faculty member on campus and wish to engage Honors students in your area of scholarship then you are eligible to participate. Support includes helping you to find students who interests match your own as well as funding projects for up to $3000 per academic year or summer. We also
fund student research-related travel.
