Udall Scholarship

Awards given to undergraduate students in three categories: those with a demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment; and Native American and Alaska Native students with a demonstrated commitment to careers related to tribal public policy or to Native health care.

Requires campus nomination. USC may nominate up to six applicants annually.

NOAA Hollings Scholarship
Supports eligible undergraduates studying oceanic, environmental, biological, and atmospheric sciences, mathematics, engineering, remote sensing technology, physical and social sciences including geography, physics, hydrology, geomatics, or teacher education that support NOAA's programs and mission. Up to $16,000 for academic expenses (stipend of $8000 each year), as well as a 10-week full-time paid summer internship with a NOAA facility (valued at $6500).

Truman Scholarship
Supports graduate study for students with a commitment to a career in public service who are poised to be change agents in their careers. Up to $30,000 for graduate study in any field.
