Think of these 5 days of learning as a journey to the summit of a beautiful mountain top.  You are the leader and the team you are leading expects you to lead them to the summit in 5 days. During these 5 days you will learn why your team needs a leader, develop an awareness of your current leadership style and other styles, develop an awareness of your emotional intelligence and how it impacts your behavior as a leader, identify if you are making the most of yourself as a leader, and identify what you might want to change about your leadership style that will help you get your team to the summit in 5 days. 

You will participate in daily learning activities that will provide an opportunity for self-discovery using the learning activity tools provided in each daily learning assignment.  Consider keeping a daily reflection log so you have a written record of your self-discovery that you can review during your ongoing journey as a leader.  So each evening when you and your team stop to rest before beginning to climb higher up the mountain, you will want to take time to reflect and decide what changes you need to make in your leadership style that will empower you to lead your team to the summit of any mountain, and achieve the goals of your organization.
