How I Created My Own Business as a USC Student: Laura Grove Design

LGD-041a

This story was created by the HRSM school faculty, and was filmed and edited by Ryal Curtis. He asks a series of questions regarding my jewelry business I started as a Freshman at the University of South Carolina. Now a Senior, my line is in 3 boutiques and is sold on my website, www.lauragrovedesign.com. I hand-select beads and stones from AmericasMart in Atlanta, G.A. as well as attend trade shows and antique markets. I also travel internationally to find unique merchandise. My jewelry style is Boho Chic, and this fall we stand for charms and chains, neutrals and leather and beaded stackable bracelets. I recently revealed my Fall Gameday 2013 line on my website and it is exclusively sold at My Kim Collections, which is a boutique on Devine Street in Columbia. In the future, I hope to expand to boutiques nation wide, and eventually be sold at major retailers.
