The Veggie Patch HC Farms is located in Orangeburg County on about 15 acres. Mandy Churchwell It’s a small family-run farm specializing in watermelons, cantaloupes, peanuts, tomatoes, fall vegetables and greens. They are committed to providing good quality produce for good prices.
Farming has been in Mandy Churchwell’s family for generations. They started off with cotton and soybeans. Mandy’s mother picked cotton, and her grandfathers were all farmers. She enjoys coming to the market and selling the watermelons because when I give my customers a sample, they say “this is the best watermelon I’ve tasted all year”, the same with her apples.
