We at the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition invite you to exhibit with us. Through this conference series, a national and international reform movement continues to shape the ways in which educators enhance the success, learning, retention, and ultimately, graduation of students in transition.
Conferences are attended by faculty members, academic deans, campus chief executive officers, student affairs professionals, counselors, and learning specialists from two-year and four-year colleges and universities. Many participants will be in the process of making immediate decisions about course texts, technology resources, and other materials and may be currently unfamiliar with the range of publications, products, and services now available to help them and their students meet their ultimate goals of student learning and success.
The National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition at the University of South Carolina has as its mission to support and advance efforts to improve student learning and transitions into and through higher education.
Companies/Organizations are invited to co-sponsor special events, regularly scheduled refreshment breaks, receptions, and other items with the conference organizers and other groups. Recognition will be provided in the conference program book and with signage at sponsored events.
Arrangements for sponsorships should be made early to meet printing deadlines and to assure availability.
Co-sponsorships include access to the exhibit area and participation in conference sessions based on amount of co-sponsorship: Up to $5000 – access and participation for two representatives Over $5000 – access and participation for three representatives
One draped six- to eight-foot table, two chairs, and a waste receptacle; admits two representatives to the exhibit area and conference sessions.
Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience registration also includes a pipe and drape booth.
Due to an increase in demand for exhibit space, only two booths are allowed per company/organization for all National Resource Center conferences .
Exhibition space is limited and the anticipated response is large, so early registration is recommended. Exhibit space will be assigned as exhibit registrations are received.
In order to provide exhibitors with a formal setting for networking with the higher education community, the National Resource Center offers exhibitors the opportunity to make presentations during each conference (excluding the Assessment Conference).
Presentation proposals will only be accepted from registered exhibitors and registration does not guarantee that a proposal will be accepted for presentation. Please be aware that Conference schedules may not allow for more than one presentation per company/organization.
Commercial (for profit) These presentations are designed for those companies or organizations that are interested in promoting publications, products, or services solely on a for-profit basis.
Commercial (academic) These presentations are designed for research centers or service organizations who wish to present research findings that result from the use of commercially available assessment or research instruments.
In order to provide conference attendees with additional information about our exhibitors, we are including descriptions of our exhibitors in the conference program booklet. Please submit a company logo (pdf. or jpg. file format), and a 50-word description/brief mission statement about your company for inclusion in the program booklet. Please e-mail the information to Nina Glisson at ninal@mailbox.sc.edu. Booth space will not be assigned until descriptions and logos are submitted .
The National Resource Center also offers exhibitors the opportunity to advertise in our conference program booklets. By purchasing an ad in the conference program, you place your message in front of conference attendees and all those who will view the program once the attendees return to their campuses.
To purchase ad space, complete the ad space section on the Exhibit/Ad Space registration form. Payment and all materials must be received by the dates listed below for inclusion in the conference program. Materials will not be returned and become the property of the National Resource Center. Please note: Advertisements in the conference program booklet for the National Conference on First-Year Assessment are not available.
Electronic ads are preferred in either pdf. or jpg. file format; however, we will accept ads printed on a 600 dpi laser printer. Ads will not be returned, so advertisers should maintain copies for their files. Conference organizers reserve the right to review and approve ad copy. For questions about ad specifications, contact Nina Glisson. Please e-mail all electronic ads to Nina Glisson at ninal@mailbox.sc.edu.
The program book is 8.5” x 11”; spiral-bound; and produced in black and white only. Ads will be sold in four dimensions. See Exhibit/Ad Space registration form for costs.
