Every time a financial aid award or scholarship is made  you will receive an e-mail notification informing you that something has occurred with your awards. You may also receive paper correspondence from our office concerning certain award changes or reductions.  You will be directed to VIP on the web where you will review your award(s). Your financial aid and scholarship awards are listed under the "Financial" tab, and then Show Me - "Financial Aid Award Status" for the appropriate term. You can also connect from this page by going to "Check on My Financial Aid" from the left task bar.

In cases where we cannot find an e-mail address for you, or the address is invalid, a paper award letter will be mailed to you. We urge you to keep your e-mail address current with University Records.

On your award page, you will find very important reminders, and important links to other essential web pages, including a link for all students who receive a South Carolina sponsored scholarship or grant (Palmetto Fellows, LIFE, HOPE, State Need-Based Grant). You must certify your eligibility for these programs every year.

Additionally, if you receive any type of federal aid, you will be asked to authorize the use of those funds for expenses other than tuition and fees. This will also be done through the web from your award page.

After reviewing your awards, if you need to make a change, you should follow the instructions provided on the web. 

You may want to print out a copy of your awards for your reference.
