The Economic Impact of USC Union
Since 1965, USC Union has provided low-cost, fully accredited courses that satisfy the degree requirements at USC and other colleges and universities. The campus enrolls between 400 and 500 students each semester. In addition to associate's degrees, USC Union provides access to baccalaureate degrees in interdisciplinary studies.
USC Union programs and initiatives include:
• the Opportunity Scholars Program (OSP), an academic support service for students who qualify for significant amounts of financial aid and are the first generation of their families to attend college. OSP aspires to help participants graduate from the University.
• the Higher Education Awareness Program (HEAP), which reaches every eighth grader in Union County and encourages them to attend college or technical school after high school.
• the Access to Equity Program, which encourages minority students to attend college.
• Leadership Union county programs, which are hosted by USC Union as part of an effort to promote economic development.
