CMCIS: Tywanna Whorley

Dr. Whorley knows a wealth of information about King’s life, and her presentation made the job of archivist seem very interesting (especially in terms of the depth with which they can get to know about someone’s life). One of the most interesting little-known facts about King was that after he was stabbed, he had a cross-shaped scar over his heart.
Very interesting. Definitely learned a ton about archival and Dr. King’s life. Quite worthwhile.
Very insightful presentation. I feel like much of MLK Jr.’s background is skipped over in history classes and this was helpful information.

Very informative. She did a great job of not only describing her work, but also made the information interesting. It’s amazing how much you can learn just from old transcripts of books and speeches.
The presentation was a very good learning experience and taught me a lot of things I didn’t know about Martin Luther King, Jr.
