Dr.
Curtis Rogers, Ed.D
SLIS Alumnus ‘91
Dr. Curtis Rogers is the Communications Director for the South Carolina State Library. He manages the library's social media presence and produces informational videos, a biweekly podcast of library news, and coordinates the South Carolina Center for the Book. He received a BA in Geography, Masters of Library and Information Science, and Doctor of Education from USC. |

Doug Fisher
SJMC Faculty
Doug Fisher is a senior instructor at the University of South Carolina where he specializes in editing, new media and community journalism. He joined USC after 18 years at The Associated Press, nine as news editor. Overall, he spent 30 years as a broadcast, newspaper and wire service reporter and editor and as a Kiplinger Fellow at Ohio State. He writes the "Common Sense Journalism" blog and monthly column, is executive editor of The Convergence Newsletter, and is co-author of "Principles of Convergent Journalism" (Oxford University Press, 2008). |

Mandi Engram
SJMC Alumna ‘03
Mandi Engram is director of marketing for the Midlands Authority for Conventions, Sports and Tourism. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and recipient of the Glenn Jacobus class of 2009 award. She is a 2010 recipient of The State newspaper's annual 20 Under 40 award. Engram serves on many boards, including Columbia Opportunity Resource as marketing chair, Social Media Club Columbia steering committee and United Way of the Midlands Communications Committee. She graduated from USC’s J-school in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications. |

Jonathan Bennett
SJMC Alumnus ‘06
Jonathan Bennett graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2006. After graduation he interned with Morris Communications in Augusta, Ga., and soon started working with The Florida Times-Union and Jacksonville.com in Jacksonville, Fla., Since moving to Jacksonville he has launched hyper-local Web sites, started The Times-Union's social media efforts, and is now the Online News Editor. |
