Jeff
Salter serves as the Information Resource Consultant for the
College of Mass Communications and Information Studies and is
located in Davis College. Jeff assists with computer hardware,
software, and network support, as well as Web support for the
college.
Jeff
has been with the University of South Carolina since 1982, getting
his start as a photographer and producer for Instructional Services.
He then further developed his skills and became a course developer
for Distance Education and Instructional Support, where he developed
the first CD based course taught at USC.
Before joining our college,
Jeff served as senior Web developer for Creative Services. Jeff
has 24 years of experience in technology support, integrated
learning (Distance Education) as well as Web design and development.
He enjoys teaching and has extensive experience teaching courses
in the areas of digital imaging, photography and web design/development.
Jeff has been with the university since 1981, when he started
his undergraduate studies. He earned his BA in Journalism (’86)
and his MMA in Media Arts (’08) from the University of
South Carolina.
He is married to Jodi Salter, who also works at the university.
They have one daughter, Grace, who is a student at USC, earning
her degree in Art History. When Jeff is not working, he enjoys
attending art and cultural events in the community, gardening
and wood-working . |
