Katie Bullard is assistant director of development for the College of Mass Communications and Information Studies.
She manages the college’s Dean’s Circle Giving Society and works with the college's senior director of development to conduct prospect identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and follow-up. She also helps manage scholarships, professorships, fellowships and other funds. And helps coordinate alumni relations initiatives for the college in such a way that builds alumni engagement and support.
After working in the corporate world for two years with Enterprise Holdings, Bullard found her calling in the nonprofit industry and became regional manager of the American Lung Association in the Midlands. After being involved as a volunteer, she then went on to work for United Way of the Midlands as leadership giving manager working in development and donor cultivation.
As a native of South Carolina and a 2009 graduate of USC from the Moore School of Business with a minor in Journalism, she is thrilled to be back at her alma mater.
Bullard is actively involved with the Young Leaders Society, a graduate of Blueprint for Leadership, and a current member of the Leadership Columbia Class of 2014.
She is married to Jesse Bullard, also a Gamecock graduate, and co-owner of Doc’s BBQ and Ms. B’s Southern Kitchen.
