EXTERNSHIPS

Interested in learning more about the organizations we work with and opportunities for USC students? Join us for an externship experience!

An externship is typically a day-long visit to an employer facility to learn more about that organization and their career opportunities.  Externships consist of several components including such activities as:

  • Facility tours
  • Welcome from organizational leadership

  • Overview of employment opportunities (internships, co-ops and full-time positions)
  • Networking with employees (often USC alumni)
  • Job shadowing

The Career Center typically provides transporation (unless exernships are held in your hometown during University breaks), the employer provides refreshments/meals (as appropriate), and Career Center staff provide opportunties for reflection following the experience.
