Initiatives

New Faculty and Staff Reception
Held annually at the start of the fall semester, this event recognizes incoming or new faculty and staff. It also provides returning faculty and staff an opportunity to network and interact with new faculty and staff, with members of the administration, and with each other.

BFSA Awards Luncheon
The Association's annual awards ceremony, this event recognizes faculty, staff, and students who have made significant contributions in the areas of community service, excellence in teaching and scholarship, and diversity sensitivity.

Campus/community-wide Martin Luther King Holiday Celebration

New Intiatives

I. A.M. Institute of African American Mentoring
I. A.M. was established to cultivate African-American students’ overall development, both personally and professionally, at USC. The mission of this program is to create lasting educational relationships between faculty/staff and students.

Financial Wellness
Held annually, this presentation is facilitated by a professional financial advisor. Attendees will receive information about retirement planning and overall financial planning.
