The purpose of the USC Beaufort Faculty Library Committee is to act as an advisory body to the Head Librarian and to work with her in ensuring that library programs and services support the educational goals of the institution. To this end, members of the committee participate in setting and disbursing annual allocations of the library materials budget. They also assist the Head Librarian in periodic evaluations of overall library operations at all campus sites, regularly review library policies and procedures, and actively support the library when approved policies and procedures are challenged or ignored.
