As a Texas native, I am thrilled to be sharing the spirit of the University of South Carolina with students here in DFW! I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in English – creative writing. While I was a student at UNT, I was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority and I served the university as both a Tour Guide and Orientation Leader for incoming freshmen and transfer students. This is where I fell in love with admissions and helping students achieve their personal and professional goals. When I am not working with students, parents, and counselors, you can find me spending time with my family watching "Chopped" on the Food Network, attending a college football game, or hiking. I look forward to talking with you about Carolina!
Most Texans will agree the Lonestar State is a special place unlike any other, but your short college years are meant for branching out, exploring new places and cultivating new friendships. What better place to experience these things than in Columbia, South Carolina at the University of South Carolina!
My advice to students going through the college search process is to keep an open mind – you are making this decision for you and your own experience. So take a campus tour, eat in the dining hall, attend a football game, and see if you can picture yourself living and thriving there for the next four years!
