Step 1: Information Workshop
Before meeting individually with an advisor, all students will first attend an Information Workshop in the Study Abroad Office. These are led by our Peer Advisors and are capped at fifteen students so that each attendee may have all of their general questions answered. Information workshops are held at Monday – Friday during the semester and last 30-45 minutes.
*Peace Corps Prep Information Sessions: Students interested in PC Prep can attend an additional information session specific to that program during the semester. Students may register by calling 803-777-7557. Please note, attending a PC Prep Info Session does not count towards regular Information Workshop attendance.
Step 2: Individual Appointment
After attending an Information Session, students may meet with our advisors. When meeting with an advisor students must bring a printed copy of the SAO Advising Sheet.
Individual appointments are 30 minutes long and are for any student who wishes to speak with an advisor about more specific details regarding their study abroad plans. Individual appointments must be scheduled at least one day prior to meeting. You can enter the online reservation system in Pathfinder by following the link below, where you will find Study Abroad Office appointments under Involvement and Engagement.
Walk-in appointments are for students who wish to speak with an advisor for no more 15-20 minutes. Wait
times to meet with an advisor may be longer during walk-in hours than when an appointment
is scheduled ahead of time. Walk-in appointments are not available over the summer and will resume in Fall 2018.
*Students seeking a petition must attend an initial 30 minute appointment with an advisor prior to attending walk-in hours.
