The new School of Law, dedicated in September of 2017, is just blocks from the State
House, the South Carolina Supreme Court, the National Advocacy Center and the Children’s
Law Center. The school is a landmark on the university's northern gateway.
Project Details
A modern teaching, learning and support facility, the new School of Law includes a
300‐seat ceremonial courtroom, teaching courtrooms and classrooms, event spaces, an
open‐air courtyard and a 24‐hour student commons area located just outside the new
law library. Designed with sustainability in mind, the highly flexible interior facilitates
a variety of teaching and learning methods and provides many settings to enhance collaboration.
