Project Details
The pedestrian bridge, which opened in 2016, connects the main campus of USC Aiken to the Convocation Center, which is located on the other side of an SCDOT-designated highway. Previously accessible by a street-level crosswalk, the bridge creates a safer passage for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors. The bridge also includes stairs and ramps for accessibility, and lights and pathways that make the bridge a pleasing campus addition. Also, the availability of the bridge makes the Convocation Center's parking spaces more accessible for students.
