Project Details

This capital improvement includes a new 68,000-square-foot building adjacent to the existing Thomson Student Health Center. The facility will incorporate modern design elements and advanced technology to deliver a comfortable and holistic care experience to students. The new facility will allow the center to provide expanded physical therapy; lab and x-ray services; counseling and psychiatric care; as well as a new eye care center.

The expansion is expected to be completed in the fall of 2017, but pedestrians and motorists in the area are asked to be mindful of the following changes:

  • The Bull Street Garage entrance has been moved closer to the intersection of Bull and Devine streets
  • The Calcott Social Science Center parking area (south side) will remain closed during construction
  • The walkway (between McBryde and the Thomas Cooper Library) will remain open, but pedestrians should stay on walkways and follow any posted signage
