Come and explore how engineers help society and shape our future! Designed specifically for female middle school students by USC’s College of Engineering and Computing, you will explore engineering through hands-on activities, labs and team-based projects.
Meet women engineers and conduct experiments guided by university professors. You will learn about topics such as energy generation sources and their environmental impact, natural hazards, bioseparation, robotics and computer programming through creative investigations and design activities.
You will also visit a local company, Nephron Pharmaceuticals, to see first-hand how engineers help people in the real-world. At the end of the week, you will have a better understanding of the breadth and variety of engineering and computing fields.
June 10-15 for Rising 6 - 9 grade students
