Alumni Services

Whether you are changing careers, preparing to job search or actively seeking new employment, we are here to support USC alumni through the entire process.

Alumni Status

An alumnus is defined as a graduate of the USC Columbia campus or a member of the USC Alumni Association. Recent USC Columbia graduates retain their student status for one year after graduation, and will continue to receive free services, which include:

  • access to Handshake (the Career Center's Internet-based resource for employment opportunities, resume referrals, on-campus interviewing and other career related events sponsored by the Career Center)
  • online career resources such as Big Interview to assist with interviewing skills
  • FOCUS, a free on-line assessment

Cost for Services
Beyond the first year after graduation (alumni status), the fee for alumni career services is $40 per hour. One hour sessions may consist of a resume review, career counseling, job search and networking techniques, or a mock interview.

If you are a member of the USC Alumni Association, you will receive three,  one-hour coaching sessions as a part of your membership. If you are not a member and would be interested in joining, please click here for more information.
