Alumni Status
An alumnus is defined as a graduate of the USC Columbia campus or a member of the USC Alumni Association. Recent USC Columbia graduates retain their student status for one year after graduation, and will continue to receive free services, which include:
- access to Handshake (the Career Center's Internet-based resource for employment opportunities, resume referrals, on-campus interviewing and other career related events sponsored by the Career Center)
- online career resources such as Big Interview to assist with interviewing skills
- FOCUS, a free on-line assessment
Cost for Services
Beyond the first year after graduation (alumni status), the fee for alumni career
services is $40 per hour. One hour sessions may consist of a resume review, career counseling, job search and
networking techniques, or a mock interview.
If you are a member of the USC Alumni Association, you will receive three, one-hour coaching sessions as a part of your membership. If you are not a member and would be interested in joining, please click here for more information.

We host six distinct career fairs every year to connect alumni and current students with employers from a variety of industries.

Meet and interview with prospective employers ... it's as easy as that. The Career Center has already arranged everything, so you simply need to register through Handshake.
