FY 2017-2018 Budget
The University of South Carolina's budget process is a comprehensive planning effort representative of the vision of the university to provide research, teaching and service for the citizens of the state of South Carolina.
The process involves participation, beginning at the department level, and communication with all campuses to develop budgets which will reflect the investments identified to enhance our academic reputation, benefit our students, and contribute to the economic and societal health of our state.

State Budget Development Process
The state budget development process [pdf] begins when USC submits financial and performance data to the Commission on Higher Education, and it makes its way through the general assembly and the governor.
