Possible Sanctions

Sanctioning for any violation of the Student Code of Conduct is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Sanctions for Student Code of Conduct violations range from a written warning to suspension or expulsion. Possible sanctions for violations involving the above behavior may include the following:

  • issuance of a no contact order
  • campus restrictions (ex. from the victim's residence hall)
  • conduct probation
  • assessment with a counseling agency
  • removal from University Housing
  • suspension
  • expulsion.

Students who violate protections offered by Title IX may have additional sanctions recommended by the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs.

Additionally, criminal charges may result in repercussions from the courts.
