Now that the tuition and fee schedule has been updated for the 2013-2014 academic year, USC’s Office of the Bursar is preparing to release student tuition bills for Fall 2013 in Self Service Carolina.
That’s because - just like the registration and financial aid processes - paying a bill and managing a student account will no longer be done in VIP. Instead, students will sign in to Self Service Carolina by visiting my.sc.edu. To do so, they'll need to use their VIP ID and password.
"This change, which is a product of the OneCarolina project, is one that we think will ultimately benefit anyone who has to manage a student account," said University Bursar Janis Hoffman. "There is just so much more that students will be able to do in Self Service Carolina, and we think they'll respond positively."
One new feature is payment via direct deposit, a long requested feature to make bill payment more convenient. Other changes include the ability to grant parents and others the ability to directly manage student accounts, including bill pay.
Bills for Fall 2013 will be available in Self Service Carolina in July, and the payment due date is August 22. More information on the changes to the student account management process will be detailed later this summer.
